Rebels Snap Losing Skid

The Rebels came into this match up on a 3 game losing streak with only 1 goal during that skid. They faced the Flatliners who were also suffering the same as the Rebels. In the first frame Red came out guns blazing and Alex found the back of the net first from a weak backhand shot. It wasn't over yet as before the half finished Mason and Shiv both scored their first goals of the season. The team kept their foot in the gas as Matt, Martin and Chris F. all put away goals in the final frame. Nik was outstanding in goal only letting 2 past him as the Rebels more than doubled their goal output in their first 4 games winning by a score of 6-2.

Rebels Lose Third Straight

A similar story again for the Rebels where if chances were goals they would be dominating. Unfortunately it doesn't work that way and the end result was a 2-1 loss versus Naughty Babay. Steve netted the loan goal for the Rebels.

Rebels Post a Goose Egg for Second Straight Game

The Rebels were unable to get on the scoreboard for their second game in a row, losing 1-0 against the Sperm Whales. Again, Red had their fair share of scoring opportunities but just couldn't capitalize.

Rebels Get Blanked By Jokers Wild

It was one of those games where all the lucky bounces seem to go in favour of one team. Unfortunately, those bounces went to the Jokers Wild who beat the Rebels by a score of 3-0. The Rebels did have their fair share of chances from a few open nets where the ball was missed being batted in to a slap shot from the point that would have gone top shelf had it not hit the nub of the goaltender's stick. Red just couldn't catch a break and find the back of the net.

Rebels Win Season Opener

The Phat Bastards opened the scoring early but the Rebels replied with 2 unanswered goals to give them the lead going into the second half. The Rebels kept the gas pedal down and managed to find the back of the net 2 more times to give themselves a commanding 4-1 lead. The Bastards were able to sneak one more by though in the last minute but it was too, little too late. Steve had a goal and an assists for a 2 point night while James ended with 2 assists. Matt, Alex and Chris L. rounded out the scoring.

Results of Rebels Skills Competition

The Rebels held their annual skills competition to determine the fastest player and king of the shoot-out. Rebels' veteran Kevin, who was in town for the holidays, came to the practice and was the favourite to win fastest player as he has wrapped that up many times before. The veteran was ousted by the sophomore though as Alex took over the title. The King of the Shoot-Out was next up for grabs and it only took one round to decide the winner - Sheldon was the only one to beat Nik to take that title.
